I tried to package it a few weeks ago, but found out that it requires yet another new package (python-xkit[1]). After looking at the "quality" of that package, I lost my interest in packaging jockey. But the Ubuntu package builds as it is, you just need to build python-xkit first. If you want to, you can take this ITP.
