 This tool is used to retrieve EDID information from a monitor using
 instrumentation provided by SYSFS, usually through the drm drivers.
 EDID information is used to attempt to get a clear representation of
 a display's recommended resolution, physical size, form factor, as well
 as other useful tidbits of information.
