If you have a collab accout or a git server somewhere, you can try to
update http://git.debian.org/?p=pkg-vala/vtg.git;a=summary

I have not looked at it for so long now, the issue last year was with
incompatible releases of gtksourceview. That is probably fixed by now.

Feel free to take ownership of the bug as well
