Bug#573345: ITP: radare2 -- free advanced command line hexadecimal editor
Hello, I'm the main developer of radare.
I've been discussing with the other developer and Sebastian (the debian
maintainer)
about this issue, and we all agree that radare2 is not yet able to fully
replace radare,
both packages can be installed without conflicts. And version numbering
is different
for both packages.
So to avoid issues i will maintain radare and radare2 until radare2 can
replace all
stuff of radare. At this point probably the version numbering will be
enought to
replace it.
This is..when r2 gets 1.6 we will be fully replacing r1. A this point we
can remove the
old package and just have 'radare' and not 'radare' and 'radare2'.
Note that all binaries actually have a '2' appended to its name. This
should change.
