Skynet is a Ruby framework for building distributed, data-intensive
applications modeled off of Google's MapReduce publication. Skynet's
core is written in Ruby and jobs are also written as Ruby
programs. Skynet features a "peer-recovery" system which makes it
quite fault tolerant and robust. Skynet was developed for use by
Geni.com.
