We already have a package for schroedinger, another free Dirac implementation that is faster but has currently a bit lower quality when encoding. It'd still be great to have a package of Dirac too, IIRC Ubuntu already has one and I'd be interested in sponsoring/co-maintainership if someone wants to maintain it in Debian.
