For KMess, we have recently switched to Tcl/Tk (TMess):
http://kmess.org/board/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3894
We did this mainly because we thought Qt and KDE was very inferior and
insuperior to Tcl/Tk. A lot of projects are making the same smart decision.

I think coreutils should not be rewritten in Qt but in Tcl, because it
will be the fastest, easiest and most maintainable solution. I for one
accept TclCoreutils, and with it Tcl, as my leader.
