Bug#456227: What is the status of sphinxsearch?

Hey Micah,

I'm sorry, I thought I'd have the time to work on it but then a lot of other stuff got in the way. I know that the guys at BrightBox (http://brightbox.co.uk) were working on packaging sphinx though, not sure if they were only aiming at Ubuntu.

Cheers,

David

Hi all,

The last update to the Debian ITP bug (456227), and the Launchpad group
(https://code.launchpad.net/~pkg-sphinx) was in July of last year.

I'm wondering what the situation is with this effort? I'm sure everyone
is very busy, so I don't mean to be a pest, but I also wanted to point
out that the package was pretty much ready to go, just needing one or
two last tweaks to get it in place (although a RC for 0.9.9 was released
sometime last year now too).

Are folks still interested in getting sphinxsearch into debian and
ubuntu?
