Bug#488861: RFP: sasc-ng -- softcam/emu to share (payed for) smart cards between DVB tuners

Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name    : sasc-ng
* URL             : https://opensvn.csie.org/traccgi/sascng/

  Description     :

About:
It´s a software component that make it possible to share a (payed for) smart card between several DVB tuners that do not have hardware decryption. One advantage is that one smartcard can be shared with all tuners in your system (no need to buy any cams) in simple way. Sasc-ng is transparent to VDR, MythTV or whatever you want to use as long as you can configure which tuners your program should use.

How it works:
Sasc-ng is split in to parts. First you have the dvbloopback kernel module. When you start this module it will create one new virtual DVB adapter for each physical one you have in your system.

Then you have to start the actual decryption program, named sasc-ng. Here you specify which virtual adapter that should be connected to which virtual adapter.
