Bug#484103: RFP: kdar -- KDE frontend for dar archive and backup tool

Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name    : kdar
  Version         : 2.1.0
  Upstream Author : Johnathan Burchill (jkerrb at users.sourceforge.net)
* URL             : http://sourceforge.net/projects/kdar/
* License         : GPL
  Programming Lang: C++
  Description : KDE frontend for dar archive and backup tool

KDar is a comprehensive graphical frontend for the dar archiver.
Recently, version 2.1.0 was released which builds/runs fine on Debain.

KDar supports most of the outstanding features of dar, such as
incremental backups using archive files (opposed to uncompressed copies
as with rsync/rdiff/rdiff-backup), multipart archives of random size,
encryption, forward error correction (supports running parchive/par2 for
each archive).
The sophisticated user interface provides ease-of-use for the end user without
restricting dar's functionality, which no other current Debian package
currently does.

KDar has been included in Ubuntu (removed in current Ubuntu
release because of build errors in previous kdar version, but considered
for repackaging because of the very recent resumption of
development and now available updated/fixed release version).
