Note that an updated package closing the bug has been available at http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/non-free/h/hwb since last year. It's been looked at but I received no feedback about it to my email or to me on the mentors email list. I've thought of some minor updates to the package but plan to post to the mentors email list about it again first.


if upstream is missing, shouldn't we rather remove the whole package?

It isn't so much that upsteam is "missing", since the site is still there, as they do not seem to be automatically providing a current archive of the contents of the site.


Outdated hardware documentation isn't really useful...

What is in the package isn't outdated, it just doesn't have as much information as the current site does.
