Bug#435530: RFP: decust -- DEbian CUSTomized: build bootable CD image with custom kernel

Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name    : decust
  Version         : 0.0.1-1
  Upstream Author : Vladimir Stavrinov <vs@inist.ru>
* URL             : ftp://ftp.inist.ru/debian-inist/
* License         : GPL
  Programming Lang: shell
  Description : DEbian CUSTomized: build bootable CD image with custom kernel

(Include the long description here.)

 If Your hardware is not supported by any Debian binary kernels preventing
 installation of the system, You can compile Your own kernel and modules, boot
 this kernel from CD, generated by this script, and install base system,
 kernel, modules and boot loader onto hard disk manually. Additionally You can
 provide the list of selected packages that will be included in the Debian
 archive on this CD. Then this CD may be used as normal Debian CD for
 installing any packages. To provide this list of packages, You don't need take
 in account dependencies: this will be handled by apt and all packages from
 which depends one's from Your list, will be included automatically.

Man pages supplied for the script and config file. It is already
packaged, archived and available with sources.list:

deb ftp://ftp.inist.ru/debian-inist/ ./

What I am using for is installation debian onto raid array with non-open
source driver available in binary form only for redhat or suse kernels.
