Description : toolkit for analyzing and visualizing functional MRI data

AFNI is an environment for processing and displaying functional MRI data.
It provides a complete analysis toolchain, including 3D cortical surface models,
and mapping of volumetric data (SUMA).

In addition to its own format AFNI understands the NIfTI format and is
therefore easily usable in combination with FSL and Freesurfer.

I wanted to set the user-tags to this ITP and thought med-imaging would be
the right category to use but I hesitate now. I wonder if we slightly
are at the point where splitting of med-bio and med-imaging into more
fine grained categories would make sense. This also concerns deb-tagging
which was proposed by Steffen Möller in
   http://lists.debian.org/debian-med/2007/01/msg00023.html

What do you think?

Kind regards

         Andreas.
