Bug#380682: Unlikely optimal

When Xavier sent this request, 2.6.17, then the latest Linux version, included
acpi4asus 0.29, which is old as Xavier mentioned. Since then, 2.6.18 was
released with an up-to-date acpi4asus 0.30. The specific feature we are
looking for is not present in 0.30, which explains the request for the CVS
version. However, 0.31 was released on 2006-12-08 with the feature, and the
only things we are waiting now is the update of acpi4asus in Linux, a new
upstream Linux release, and a linux-2.6 update. With the update of acpi4asus
in 2.6.18, I'm optimistic that it will be updated again in a reasonable
timeframe. Therefore I think this request should be ignored. If anyone wants
to help with this, it would be more optimal to make sure that acpi4asus is
updated in upstream Linux. The rest should follow.
