It would be better to package 0.9.9.0, which is available here (Oligarchy Ltd
is my consulting company):

Alex said he'd authorise me to make CPAN uploads for Search::Xapian (since he's
often too busy) but I've not prodded him enough to make it actually happen yet.
I'll send him a mail about sorting that out - it's unhelpful that the version
on CPAN lags by several months.

The differences from 0.9.6.0 are minor but useful:

There's been another small bug fix since then, but I've been waiting for

I think "packages" should be "package" here, assuming only one binary
package.  Otherwise "These packages provide" would be better.
