Description : programming interface for FTDI FT2232C, FT232BM and FT245BM USB interface chips.

libftdi is a library which provides a programming interface for the advanced
features of the FTDI FT2232C, FT232BM and FT245BM chips. These chips can act as a
USB interface to GPIO lines, a multiprotocol synchronous serial engine or a 8051
style bus in addition to a standard USB to asynchronous serial convertor. This
library provides access to the additional functions. More information on the
FTDI chips can be found on http://www.ftdichip.com.
