Bug#347708: RFP: g95 -- A fortran 95 compiler

Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name    : g95
  Version         :

  Description     : A fortran 95 compiler

G95 is a fortran 95 compiler. Current version of gcc includes
gfortran, which is also a fortran 95 compiler, and infact
a fork of g95. However g95 implements an almost complete
front and back end for fortran 95 but gfortran is still lagging.
As g77 is unmaintained, the end result will be the abscence
of a useable fortran compiler till such time gfortran comes
around. Hence it would be great if someone could package
g95 . After all how would it harm if debian had two
fortran 95 compilers. Further details on the status of
G95 may be obtained form the fore mentioned web page.
