I have to disagree. dpkg can print very complex messages, which most
users certainly will not understand, even if they can read =P

What if the user has sudo configured and wants to use it? Then using
gksu instead of gksudo would be bad, and the hard thing here is
determining which one to use, don't underestimate the issue ;)

Hasn't the possibility of writing patches for the "real package
managers" to implement this feature, instead of packaging a sub-optimal
solution for ${whatever reason you might have, read it here} occurred
you? I don't really think doing something the "Wrong Way (tm)" just
because noone has taken the "Right Way (tm)" is not too good.
