Severity: wishlist
Owner: Loic Minier <lool@dooz.org>

        Hi,

* Package name    : libmms
  Version         : 0.1
  Current developers:
            Maciej Katafiasz (Mathrick) <mathrick@users.sourceforge.net>
            S=C3ren Hansen (shawarma) <sh@warma.dk>
  Original implementation:
            Major MMS <http://www.geocities.com/majormms/>
  Other authors : the Xine project <http://xine.sf.net>
* URL             : <http://sourceforge.net/projects/libmms>
* License         : LGPL
  Description : MMS stream protocol library

 libmms is a library implementing the mms streaming protocol

 This package was pulled from Ubuntu's archive, eg. at:
    <http://packages.ubuntu.com/breezy/source/libmms>
 It was debianized by S=C3=B8ren Hansen <sh@warma.dk>.

 The upstream description of the library:
 "LibMMS aims to be common mms:// and mmsh:// (Microsoft streaming
 protocols) parsing library, licensed on LGPL, and thus usable by many
 projects that don't use GPL."

 To my knowledge, there's no problem preventing inclusion of this
 library in main. GStreamer plugins has a MMS plugin which will
 build-depend on this library to play mms:// and mmsh:// streams from
 eg. totem.

   Bye,
