Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

  Package name : panotools
  Version : 2.7.RLbeta2.rj1
Upstream Author : Helmut Dersch <der@fh-furtwangen.de>
  URL : http://panotools.sf.net/
  License : GPL
Description : algorithms to stitch together images to panoramas

This package contains the panoramatools library. It provides the
basic algorithmical tools that have been proven to produce the highest
quality panoramic images from many different forms of raw image data in
 diferent projections.
 .
Panorama Tools was originally created by Professor Helmut Dersch of the
University of Applied Sciences Furtwangen. Professor Dersch's site no
longer has links to download the tools, which is why the panotools
sourceforge project exists. Dersch's Panoramatools have been declared
GPL by him but he never released the source. So the actual "tools" from
him are not available. There are good alternatives though, namely
 autopano-sift, hugin and probably others.
