Perfectly understandable. Problem is it requires mplayer, so there is no
way LiVES becomes a part of Debian, before all outstanding mplayer
issues have been resolved. See

For this reason LiVES is currently a bit down on my list of Debian
activities, but if somebody has already built an unofficial package of
LiVES, they should submit a link to it for anybody to use.
