I think I would prefer to maintain this package, if you don't mind. 

I'm not sure it's ready to enter Debian yet... the interface isn't
finalized, so I'd like to keep it out of testing.

BTW, there's a tool for creating a skeleton Debian package from a
cabal-ized package.  See debianTemplate and dh_make.
