Moi!

I'm lacking easy access to Digital Video hardware these days, and for
this reason it has become increasingly difficult to test dvgrab and
reproduce bugs. Packaging itself is rather easy, and upstream is
responsive and helpful.

dvgrab shares some code with kino, and if they're interested, I might
hand kino to the prospective dvgrab maintainers as well.

The package description is:
dvgrab receives audio and video data from a digital camcorder via an
IEEE1394 (widely known as FireWire) link and stores them into one of
several file formats. It features autosplit of long video sequences,
and supports saving the data as raw frames, AVI type 1, AVI type 2,
Quicktime DV, or a series of JPEG stills.

Regards,

Daniel.
