Bug#242481: RFP: clearsilver -- Clearsilver is a fast, powerful, and language-neutral HTML template system.

Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name    : clearsilver
  Version         : 0.9.7
  Upstream Author : Brandon Long <blong@clearsilver.net>
* URL or Web page : http://www.clearsilver.net/
* License         : ASL 1.1 derived
  Description : Clearsilver is a fast, powerful, and language-neutral HTML template system.

Direct download link to the latest is
http://www.clearsilver.net/downloads/clearsilver-0.9.7.tar.gz.

The package is a straightforward "./configure; make; make install"
setup, but the problematic part comes from the language bindings.

There are bindings for Apache (apache module, that is), Python, Perl,
Ruby, Java and CSharp. Atleast Perl and Python are trivial to get
working, others might need a bit more tweaking.

The actual core of the package consists of a bunch of include files
and some static libraries, there doesn't seem to be any dynamic
libraries by default, so these all would just live in the -dev
package.

The main motivator for this thing would be to get installation and
packaging of trac (http://projects.edgewall.com/trac/) easier, since
it depends on ClearSilver.
