Thanks a lot for the offer. Tobias started taking a look, I guess he
will look to gforge debian packaging too, and try to grab what can be
grabbed. 

I'm not familiar with gforge packaging, however for Savane it should
be kept as simple as possible. It should do what is takes for a simple
working default installation first. Handling all the configuration
possibility less important.
