It's no problem to split savane up into different packages. Concerning your
debian directory, I would suggest to remove it from the savane source code.
The reason is that it would be a "Debian-native" package otherwise, which in
my opinion does not apply to savane.
Again, that's really nitpicking, and it's probably too early to do so.

for? Probably "GNA!'s not american!", but is that right?
