It's true that all my work on GNUifying the btparse build process has been 
merged upstream.  You might want to have a close at it, though, as it was 
done in days when my knowledge of the autotools was still in its infancy.

I would happily act as your sponsor; unfortunately, I am leaving Debian by 
the end of this year at the latest.
