Bug#187914: debian packages

hi all.

i made a first set of jmax packages for debian available on the web.

jmax 4.0.2-1 A visual environment for interactive music a
jmax-client 4.0.2-1 Clients for jMax
jmax-common 4.0.2-1 jMax FTS kernel
jmax-dev 4.0.2-1 Headers files for jMax
jmax-doc 4.0.2-1 Documentation for jMax
jmax-jack 4.0.2-1 Jack Audio Connection Kit support for jMax
jmax-java 4.0.2-1 Java client for jMax

MIRROR :

you can access the repository with adding those lines to your
/etc/apt/sources.list

# jmax test packages
deb http://piem.homeip.net/~piem/debian binary/
# deb-src http://piem.homeip.net/~piem/debian source/

it is a quite slow connection, so be patient. it should soon be hosted on the
brand new http://mentors.debian.org/ website. you can also download directly
the packages using http://piem.homeip.net/~piem/debian/binary/

NOTES :

these are test packages and a good bunch of bugs need to be fixed.
most important, fix the dependencies. it should be something like
Depends : j2sdk > 1.4 | j2re > 1.4, alsa-modules > 0.9.3, jackd, ...

the 4.0.2-0 release is compiled with the java sun sdk (j2sdk_1.4.1_01) and
libstdc++2.9-glibc.2.1. you will need them to have jmax working properly.

the 4.0.2-1 works with the latest sun rpm release (j2sdk 1.4.1_02) and an up
to date debian unstable. but, the new libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2 in
testing/unstable is partly not compatible with this java sdk (see output of
'ldd libfontmanager.so'), so you will still need the stable
libstdc++2.9-glibc.2.1, available from the debian website.

i am looking forward to read your feedback.

cheers, paul.
