Glibc has been recently ported [1] to the FreeBSD kernel by Bruno Haible.

I have just made up a chroot GNU/FreeBSD build environment [2] that is
minimaly sane (it's able to build the whole toolchain within it), although
there are still some bugs. (help is needed, see the link for details)

Nathan, if by the time we have a working system that can bootstrap Debian
(ie, ready to upload) you are still in trouble (don't have time, bandwidth,
or even space to setup your computers [3]), I will take this ITP.
