Bug#185016: I'm trying to repackage distributed-net

Package: wnpp
Version: N/A; reported 2003-05-05
Followup-For: Bug #185016

Hi,

First, I've to say that I'm a user of distributed-net and I'm not yet
a debian maintainer (but my gpg key is countersign by one debian
maintainer).

So, what have I done is to try to make different debian package with
one debian source package. But this approche don't permit to have
different version for the different binary package.

So whe need to split the source package also. this approche permit to
have different version number for the different arch, and fine tune
for the dependances. There is on problem with this: distributed-net
will be alone with this naming convention in all the debian package!
But there is not a lot of debian package with real source.

So my first try is here, for intel arch:
deb http://l.leguyader.free.fr distributed-net/

I will do the other when this was good enough

First i've play with the control file to replace distributed-net with
distributed-net-x86 (x86 cause for i386 and ia64 from your
unpack_arch) but that don't work. Probably try to create a dummy
distributed-net like you say.

Secondly, /etc/logrotate.d/distributed-net would be rename
/etc/logrotate.d/distributed-net-arch cause dh_installlogrotate don't
permit to specify a conf name like dh_installinit with --init-script
permit.

That's all problem I've seen for now.

If you are interrested by my candidature to adopt your package, I will
happy to adopt it.

If you can't help me, I will ask debian-mentors, and search by myself.

Have a nice day!

PS:Excuse my bad Englis cause I'm a French man.
