actualy not. mkbimage is a small script, but a big can of worms. i had to
spend much time fixing FTBFS errors untill grub-disk was ready.
in a bad situation, grub-disk with a serious FTBFS bug could miss the
release freeze. i think we shouldn't risk grub into that.

yes, i had that option in mind already. when grub-disk is well tested and
enters the testing branch, etc. i'll speak with the GRUB maintainer about
merging.
