Bug#182005: ITP: toshacpid -- toshiba acpi hotkeys daemon

Package: wnpp
Version: unavailable; reported 2003-02-21
Severity: wishlist

* Package name    : toshacpid
  Version         : 0.1
  Upstream Author : me
* URL : I only just wrote it, gimme a break
* License         : GPL
  Description : toshiba acpi hotkeys daemon

A C++ interface library and polling daemon for the toshiba-acpi-extra's
kernel devices. The daemon primarily provides support for assigning
user defined actions to the 'hotkeys' (Fn + almost anything, and the
extra button scattered around the place) on recent toshiba laptops.
It should work on any machine supported by the acpi-extra's patch,
including (especially?) the new 'legacy free' range. It should also
be fairly obvious at this point that you'll need a 2.4 kernel built
with the acpi patch, or a 2.5 kernel (which it is already integrated
with). There'll be a reference for that in the package, for now
though, see Google.

It's in final crash testing as I type this and if all remains well I'll
upload shortly.

  Ron
