I would prefer to see that > packaged instead. The good thing about 'htmltmpl' is that it is a VERY SIMPLE language and there are parsers for Python, Perl and PHP. Probably TAL is a good alternative to what I'm doing with 'htmltmpl' and now that I've looked at it I'll give it a try.
