There use to be a package called gambc in potato. Contains
the Gambit-C compiler available at

http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/~gambit/

The previous maintainer Karl M. Hegbloom sent me the following:

No.  AFAIK, it's up for adoption.  

However it does not appear to be listed in the orphaned packages...
maybe I didn't look to closely....

It used to be up for adoption.  However, the package was removed
because no one adopted it after a long time.

(If you want to see gambc in Debian again, this bug should be changed
to an RFP; let me know if you want this.)
