Just looking at this package on sourceforge and it seems kind of
unmaintained.  I've CC'd the author so he can tell me I'm wrong :-)

The changelog shows the apparently current version released 1 May 01
with no subsequent changes. Sourceforge page says "activity 0% - this
project has released no files".

Have you tried it at all?  Perhaps it is such an elegant solution that
it needs no effort to maintain it!  The screenshots certainly do look
promising.
