Bug#136332: ITP: ipband -- Traffic and bandwidth monitor

Package: wnpp
Version: N/A; reported 2002-03-01
Severity: wishlist

* Package name    : ipband
  Version         : 0.7.1
  Upstream Author : Andrew Nevynniy <anevynni@russelmetals.com>
* URL             : http://ipband.sourceforge.net/

  Description : Traffic and bandwidth monitor

<This will not appear in the package's extended description. Haven't
really put much thought into what will be there.>

ipband is basically a bandwidth and traffic monitor; you specify an
interface to monitor, and a list of subnets to monitor. You can specify
a different "high traffic" threshold for each subnet. When a subnet
starts being high-traffic, detailed logging is commenced(though not
"detailed" in a tcpdump sort of way). If the subnet is high-traffic for
a given period of time, the log and a report will be generated and
optionally sent to an email address somewhere.
