Bug#117194: ITP: bfr - nonblocking 8-bit-clean pipe buffer

Package: wnpp
Version: N/A
Severity: wishlist

* Package name    : bfr
  Upstream Author : Mark Glines <mark@glines.org>
* URL             : http://www.glines.org/software/buffer.html
* License         : GPL v2
  Description : nonblocking 8-bit-clean pipe buffer

 bfr's purpose is to buffer data. It buffers from standard input
 and/or a list of files, and allows this data to flow to standard
 output at whatever rate that end can handle. It's useful for any
 situation in which its beneficial to have I/O occur in a detached yet
 smooth fashion.
 .
 Also contained is bfp, a buffering /dev/dsp writer. Pipe your raw
 PCM data to it, for skipfree bliss.

I talked to the upstream author about getting this into Debian. He
already had packages rolled for sid which were never uploaded.

He decided that I'll maintain it for Debian for the time being, and if
he decides to go through NM and become a debian developer, he'll take
over the Debian maintainership.

There should be an upload soon, all I have to do is clean up the
existing package a bit and it's ready to roll.
