I already let James have fam. I suppose he should take imon as well,
although fam doesn't strictly need it.
James, if you don't, let me know so I can retitle that bug into RFP.

One thing about the mentioned patch: Debian is more than just Linux. There's
a Hurd port as well, and people are actively working on an attempt to start
a BSD port.
If that patch is too Linux-centric, it may not be possible to use. Perhaps
patching at compile time would be an option...
