Description: interpreted language for number crunching
 Yorick features include:
  * array syntax for fast scientific computing
  * scientific graphics to X, PostScript, and binary CGM
  * - includes gist binary CGM browser
  * gigabyte-scale I/O to binary data files
  * - automatically translates number formats among all architectures
  * - handles PDB and netCDF self-descriptive binary formats
 .
You need GhostScript for Yorick's eps command to work.
You can import Yorick generated EPS graphics into xfig in order
to add annotations more easily than in Yorick.

My email address changed from munro@icf.llnl.gov to munro1@llnl.gov in
February, but an administrative error caused some email addressed to
icf.llnl.gov to accumulate for a couple of months before I noticed the
problem, including all the Debian traffic about my yorick package.
Although I am still having some email problems (for example, I don't
actually have an account munro1@llnl.gov that matches my new official
address), but I believe I am at least getting all my mail now. In
particular, I am getting mail to munro@icf.llnl.gov again.

I apologize for the error, and thank the Debian developers who cleaned
up yorick for woody.

I decided to re-adopt the yorick package, and have uploaded a final
version 1.4-15 in the 1.4 series, so this bug against wnpp can now be
closed.

A completely new yorick-1.5-01 version will follow shortly.
