Bug#89568: ITA: ssh-nonfree: ssh1 implementation with krb5 support
retitle 89568 ITA: ssh-nonfree
thanks
>From my point of view, ssh-nonfree has one very important advantage
over OpenSSH: one can built it to support Kerberos 5 authentication
and ticket forwarding. (This feature is very useful when connecting
to machines at MIT, particularly given that ssh supports X connection
forwarding and MIT krb5 has no equivalent of Heimdal's kxd.)
I have looked into patches for OpenSSH, but found nothing useful --
not too surprising, given that the authentication types it uses for
Kerberos *4* are the same as the authentication types ssh-nonfree
originally used for krb5. :-/
I'm not an official developer, but would be interested in becoming
one and making this my first official package.
