That is not wrong, indeed.
But on the same note, if something runs wild and just spams the log, the
journal is automatically self-contained and limited whereas a syslog
deamon will happy fill the filesystem /var/log is on.
And I would argue that anyone running a specialized setup on a
contrained system like RasPis and other IoT-adjacent devices, knows how
to curtail journald.
