FWIW IMO Useful trouble shooting hints via AI
This post is merely intended to point out a problem that may still be
in progress but AI worked
much like a knowledgeable person in the same room looking over my
shoulder making
suggestions. When I described an erratic intermittent problem with
capitalization, it came
back with multiple suggestions that I was able to rank in my order of
preferences. Then
as typically happens, at least for me, I few snags happened while
implementing the suggestion
but continuing interaction, brought clarification, and even would point
where I had concerns
about being able to re-boot following the changes, two work-arounds were
suggested prior
to reboot for "just-in-case". Am currently in process of evaluating this
change following what
seems to have been a successful reboot. The important thing to me is we
did not get side
tracked with the usual script of we need more information, etc, etc,
etc. Instead the AI
acknowledged multiple possible causes and provided several top level
approaches. At this point,
I am still evaluating the first approach that I chose from the
recommended ones, but I had a
sense that the AI was able to "cut to the chase" quickly, much like
having a knowledgeable
colleague nearby to interact with. YMMV. Different people have different
preferences
as to how to approach a problem. JMO for one interaction on a problem
that has bugged
me for years and recognized, just as AI did, that there are many things
that could cause
the symptoms that I was seeing.
