I never said it could and I don't believe it can.  I said that it can
read old-fashioned *text* logs.  I provided a list of the advantages of
old-fashioned text logs relative to systemd journals in rebuttal to the
assertion that it suffices that there is one command in my path that can
read systemd journals.

Of course, I have rsyslog installed so the problem doesn't come up here.
