[SOLVED] : Re: failure of windows program with wine in trixie

I have used a particular Windows editor without issues for, literally, more
than a decade on debian stable (and on other distributions before that).

Following the recent change to trixie, when I try to run the program I now see:

I bit the bullet and bade a backup of ~/.wine, then deleted it and ran the new wine executable -- that seemed to do the trick (i.e., wine started without any complaints about missing DLLs). Then I simply copied the Windows editor from the backup back into its location in the tree under ~/.wine, executed my normal command to edit files and presto! it all seems to be working... and I can move on to the next problem :-)
