OK. I don't know much about thunar. Perhaps there is someone else
around here.

Glad to be of help. Perhaps you can try to look into the system logs,
try either dmesg, or whatever incantation one uses these days with
systemd.

Do you have important information on those broken disks which you would
like to rescue?
