Removed the hdd from the mini, connected to another machine and GPT 
partitioned.
* Protective MBR 2 MiB not formatted.
* ESP, 1 GiB FAT 32.
* Swap, 4  GiB.
* 20 GiB for each operating system /root.
* Remaining space for /home.

No problem installing the 64 bit system.  Boots with GRUB2/UEFI.  No 
need for the boot media I've seen mentioned.  Still a useful system.
