- For Stable releases, Debian provides Nvidia proprietary drivers that are supported by Nvidia. - In order to help its users, Debian provides Nvidia proprietary drivers that Nvidia deems too old to be supported. That happens exclusively in its Unstable (Sid) distribution. As of today, Nvidia drivers as old as v340 and v390 are available there. - It's for you to choose whether to continue to use Stable (Trixie) with the free Nouveau driver or switch to Unstable (Sid) and the v390 version of the proprietary Nvidia driver

Adding Ubuntu, Mint or whatever non-Debian repository (an Ubuntu PPA, here) to the repository list of your Debian distribution is in the long term a reasonably sure way to break your Debian distro:
