CAUTION: Upgrading stable Trixie systemd-networkd might break your network
Hi,
Something to be aware of, in last few hours the first point release 13.1 of
Debian Trixie has occurred. I notice there is an open bug [1] [2] with
multiple reports of systemd-networkd segfaulting and leaving the system
with no network connectivity, if VLAN bridging is configured.
_I_ have _NOT_ seen this (I dont have that configured), but FYI here are
some quotes from the bug reports:
| can confirm that systemd-networkd from the systemd 257.8-1~deb13u1 in
| stable crashes on configurations with VLAN-aware bridges
and
| hit this as well with the upgrade from 13.0 to 13.1. Downgrading systemd
| from 257.8-1~deb13u1 to 257.7-1 again fixed the problem. But this is
| very hard to do without networking....
