Shouldn't be, if you are running Debian stable. Stable is one of the
main server operating systems, and it is never wise to install updates
on a working server, without seeing if there are any snags. Debian will
offer updates that have known bugs, it is up to the server admin to
decide if the bugs are likely to affect his installation.

For a workstation, it's probably not that important, unless you really
can't afford any downtime.
