I do not see in dvipdfm a way to add metadata. I suppose there must
LaTeX commands (such as \pdfauthor{...}) to integrate metadata into
LaTeX documents? I shall search.
Does it mean that some files are linked from PDF files only?
No.
Using LaTeX and make4ht, I have created a HTML web site. A main page
of the site has, for each article or study, a link to a separate page
with an abstract or summary of a hundred or so words. Immediately
following the summary are links to the study in PDF, EPUB, & HTML.
The problem is that you are seeking a recipe
specific to WordPress.
No longer!
I do not believe in magic, I expect that other CMS and static
site generators may be configured to achieve results similar to
WordPress.
I thank you for taking interest in my project, and for your assistance
and encouragement.
I really have no wish to climb into bed with WordPress. Tonight I
dump my WordPress documents and notes into the dumpster.
